Compact but Cozy
Dandelion is situated on the main Sukhumvit Road between Soi 49 and 51. The small dark facade is fashioned in a western style reminiscent of an English bakery shop front windows.
The space is compact yet inviting. The cafe is spread over 3 floors where the ground floor hosts a counter with coffee machine and displays a nice selection of freshly baked desserts and pastries. The second floor is where the main dining areas are playfully decorated in a camping ground theme with plenty of cozy nooks and corners. Kids will love the canvas tent with more comfy floor cushions. Even us adults can’t help but feeling young again too. You can spot many Instagrammer taking selfies here! 🙂 There is also a large wooden table in a separate section which is more suitable for adults and groups.
Family Friendly Space
This small cozy cafe offers a hearty selection of full English Breakfast, Eggs Benedict as well as a more healthy option of yogurt and granola. Interestingly the English Breakfast set here comes with mac and cheese and corn on cobs, which is fitting enough for the camping ground feel they are trying to create.
In addition to brunch menu, there are also some Japanese homemade style lunch and pasta dishes available. Dandelion also gets another brownie point from us for serving a decent barista style coffee. The place seems to be popular with local Japanese families, especially around lunch time. A note for family coming with prams please be aware that the main dining area is on the second floor and may require some lifting to get all your baby gears upstairs.
