Lazy Goose

Utmost central location

Lazy Goose is a new arrival in town: only opened in Fall 2016, it is sure to soon become a popular spot for tourists and expats alike. The location couldn’t be much better: right at the beginning of Sukhumvit Soi 8 (opposite Soi 11), in between tailors and massage places, surrounded by long-time favourites like Monsoon, the Kiwi Pub, or Prawn Spa. While there are no parking spaces for cars, it’s very easy to reach by BTS. Hop out at Nana station, and within a minute or two you’ll find yourself in the yellow home of Bangkok’s Lazy Goose (for a map, scroll down to the end of the post).

If you’re staying around Nana and you’ve partied too hard the night before, Lazy Goose has plenty of options for you to cure your hangover. Their coffee tastes good, there are many healthy dishes on the menu, and the service is friendly and energizing. For the cooler days in the year you can also sit on the small verandah facing Soi 8 and enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the busy intersection and chit-chat with some people passing by.

What to order

We went for our regular hot latte as well as English breakfast, and a chia seed & yogurt granola. The English breakfast tastes nice, especially the sausage is of great quality and taste – which is not often the case in Bangkok. The food was well prepared and Lazy Goose uses quality ingredients, which adds to the flavour.

Their take on a chia seed granola is interesting, different in look and taste from what we’re used to. The taste was good, but the portion was definitely on the smaller end.

Why to have brunch at Lazy Goose

Well, it can’t get much more central than this. It’s a stone throw away from many hotels and upscale condos, it’s easily accessible by public transport and most of all, the food is really good and the service exceptionally friendly. We’ll definitely be back to Lazy Goose and welcome the new arrival to our hood!
