Quince

City’s Hot Spot

After a number of impressive dinners at Quince and after having found out that they also do brunch, we knew we had to come back sometime during morning hours. Quince is a popular venue for dinner thanks to its next door club Sing Sing Theater. It’s located at the beginning of Sukhumvit 49. The cafe is affiliated with Luka, which is another very popular brunch spot (stay tuned for its brunch review).

Charming Semi Outdoor Space

The space during the day has a completely different feel compared to night time. The venue still maintains its rustic yet retro charm but with the added perks of having a semi outdoor section opening onto the nicely landscape outdoor garden. The morning sunshine makes the space look really warm and inviting. Great for reading your morning newspaper while sipping a good cup of coffee.

Promising Brunch Menu

At first glance we think that the brunch menu looks quite promising. Plus, you can order many extra items to be added on top, such as spinach, mushroom, bacons, and sausages to customise your dish a bit more. The food, while being quite pleasant, did not quite give the same wow factor as the ambiance. The seasoning is somewhat lacking and the portions are on a smaller side of the scale.

Our Verdict

Overall we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the menu looks promising but as far as the food is concerned we think there is some room for improvement there.
